Contact Lens Exams in King

Contact Lens Exams in King

At Magnolia Eye Care, we offer comprehensive contact lens exams in King using advanced diagnostic technology to ensure your lenses fit well and support your eye health. Our contact eye exams are ideal for patients who wear standard lenses or those who need specialty contact lenses. Whether you’re trying contact lenses for the first time or you’ve worn them for years, we tailor every exam to your unique visual needs.

If your contact lenses are causing discomfort, redness, dryness, or blurry vision, you may benefit from a more precise and personalized fitting.

For patients with more complex visual needs, we offer specialty contact lenses to address conditions such as keratoconus, high astigmatism, and severe dry eye. Our experienced team uses the latest imaging and diagnostic technology, including the OCULUS Keratograph®, to map the surface of your eye and assess tear film quality. With this advanced technology and our extensive expertise, we can often find solutions even for those who’ve been told contact lenses aren’t an option.

What to expect during your contact eye exam

A contact lens exam is different than a routine eye exam. It includes extra testing and measurements specifically focused on ensuring your lenses fit well, feel comfortable, and match your vision needs. Here’s what you can expect at your visit:

Detailed eye health assessment

We begin with a thorough assessment of your ocular health, paying close attention to your cornea, tear film, and any existing eye conditions that may impact lens wear.

Corneal mapping

The OCULUS Keratograph® measures the exact curvature of your cornea and helps detect dry eye using detailed meibography and tear film analysis. With this data, we can select the most appropriate lens material and design for your eyes.

Refraction test

We use an autorefractor to estimate your prescription and a digital phoropter to refine it. Together, these tools allow us to identify even subtle vision changes and ensure your lenses provide the best possible clarity.

Lens fitting & instructions

Based on your results, we’ll recommend lenses suited to your needs, whether it’s daily, monthly, toric, or specialty lenses. For new wearers, we provide personalized instructions on insertion, removal, and care.

Comfort & fit assessment

Once you have your trial lenses, we evaluate how they fit and feel in your eyes. If adjustments are needed, we’ll make them to ensure the best possible outcome.

Follow-up care

A follow-up visit allows us to monitor how your eyes are responding and make any refinements to your prescription or lens type if needed.

We offer standard and specialty contact lenses

We offer a wide variety of contact lenses to suit your unique vision needs and lifestyle. Our selection includes daily disposables, extended wear lenses, multifocal contacts, and toric lenses for astigmatism.

We also specialize in custom and medically necessary lenses such as scleral lenses and orthokeratology (ortho-k), ideal for patients with conditions like keratoconus or those seeking alternatives to glasses or LASIK. Our team ensures a precise, comfortable fit during your contact lens exams and fittings.
